Quaife MSA BRC, Round 7 at Mallory Park Moved
The seventh round of the MSA Quaife British Rallycross Championship scheduled for Mallory Park in Leicestershire on Sunday 12th September has been moved to the popular Blyton venue in Lincolnshire due to scheduled track works at Mallory Park being brought forward.

After a stunning fifth round of the MSA Quaife British Rallycross Championship action at the Friendly Circuit on Sunday 8th August, a post race track inspection revealed that the 550bhp+ Supercars had worn down the track, dangerously close to the circuit’s hospitality area water supply main. In conjunction with the ongoing circuit safety run-off expansion on the Stebbe Straight and re-surfacing of the road course, it was already planned to raise, harden and regrade this section of the Rallycross track and surrounding grass areas in the winter, this has now been brought forward.

Mallory Park General Manager John Ward said : “The MSA Quaife British Rallycross meeting at Mallory Park on 8th August was a big success and the drivers, organisation and fans all enjoyed one of the best events of the season so far. A huge well done must go to Pat Doran on taking the victory" he added " We could have reinstated the track to cope with the same amount of competitors, but the organisers Lydden Hill Motor Club are predicting more entries for this ever more popular championship and together we feel that we would rather address the issue now and start preparations for an even bigger and better events here at Mallory in 2011”.

"We would like to thank Lydden Hill Motor Club and the Motor Sports Association for their assistance, support and understanding, as all parties are committed to firmly establishing the MSA Quaife British Rallycross Championship as the premier national rallycross series in the world".

Next event: Lydden Hill, August 30
