An excellent overall victory for the Symtech Racing Subaru Impreza STR10!
The Polish Rally, round three of the Polish Rally Championship, which also counts for the European Rally Championship, concluded with an overall victory for the brand new Group N Subaru Impreza STR10, which is entirely developed and built by Belgian team Symtech Racing. The Subaru Poland crew of Kajetan Kajetanowicz and Jarek Baran drove faultlessly and did not experience the slightest problem throughout the event.

The Polish Rally, which formed part of the World Rally Championship last year, once more took place on gravel roads around Mikolajki and enjoyed excellent weather. The standard was again very high thanks to the presence of a number of top Super 2000 drivers, including Bryan Bouffier, Luca Rossetti, Krzysztof Holowczyc, Leszek Kuzaj, Michal Solowow, Luca Betti and Maciej Oleksowicz. Consequently, Kajetanowicz faced extremely tough opposition on his first outing with the Group N Subaru Impreza STR10. The Polish star rose to the challenge brilliantly and entered into a ferocious battle with Bryan Bouffier, while all the other drivers were relegated to a minute behind after just five stages. The leading duo looked set to continue their thrilling duel as the first day drew to a close, but then Bouffier's Peugeot 207 S2000 was ruled out by a broken engine. By contrast the Symtech Racing Impreza STR10 driven by Kajetanowicz did not experience the slightest technical problem and went on to claim a resounding 58-second victory over the Fiesta S2000 of Michal Solowow.

Kajto Kajetanowicz: "We had a few moments over the weekend and we were often at the limit, but our Subaru Impreza STR10 worked perfectly. It's a fantastic victory that takes us into the lead of the Polish Rally Championship."

Wim De Boeck, Symtech Racing: "I believe that this is the first overall win for a 2010 homologation Group N Spec C Subaru Impreza anywhere in the world: a car that we have developed and built entirely within Symtech Racing. It's clear that quality is a priority for us and we have just proved that again with this latest victory. The Polish customer to whom we have sold the second Subaru STR10 is very happy as well, because he finished this extremely challenging rally with no problems. Our next event is the Geko Ypres Rally, where Kajto will take place in his first foreign event. We can't wait to get started!"
