The Vice President of the FIA will start the rally
The start of this 45th Belgium Ypres Rally is planned for today, Friday, at 1730. The FIA Vice President, Mohammed Bin Sulayem, will wave the Belgian flag to start the first car, Juho Hanninen's Skoda Fabia, in front of the magnificent court house in the main square at Ypres.Parking is easy for spectators at Ypres
The parking possibilities for spectators have now been extended to Ypres town centre. An ample parking zone has been provided for them in the Frenchlaan (the main road that runs to the Menin gate from the Ieper-Bellewaerde exit on the A19 motorway. Parking is also available in the streets named Hoornwerk and Leopold III laan, which run around the outside of the old fortifications between the Menin gate (Menenpoort) and the area behind the Lille gate (Rijselssepoort), near the Crack warehouse.
