Alexandre Gueschir joins ISC as Sporting & Commercial Director
ISC, the exclusive media and commercial rights holder of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC), is pleased to announce the appointment of Alexandre Gueschir to the newly created role of Sporting & Commercial Director, commencing 15th May 2008.

Gueschir, 33, joins ISC from his current position of General Manager of the FFSA, the French motorsport federation, where he has fulfilled a range of marketing and commercial roles since graduating with an MBA in Marketing and Business in 1997. Alex’s experience crosses a wide range of motorsport disciplines, including the promotion of the Formula One Grand Prix de France, the Formula 3 Euro Series, the international development of the Auto Sport Academy, which focuses on discovering and nurturing new French driving talent, and the French round of the WRC, the Rallye de France - Tour de Corse.

Commenting on his decision to join ISC, Gueschir says: “I am very enthusiastic about this new challenge. Clearly this is a major step for me after more than 10 great years at the FFSA and I would like to warmly thank the people who trusted me there during that time. Having said that, I am really excited by this opportunity with ISC and look forward to an active role in accelerating the growth of WRC using my extensive experience of the industry and, in particular, my knowledge of the organisers and Federations.”

Simon Long, CEO of ISC, adds: “WRC is at an exciting moment in its evolution as we work ever closer with the event organisers and competing teams to promote WRC to an ever wider audience. The addition of Alex to ISC’s management team will add an important dimension of both sporting and marketing know-how built with an inside knowledge of what it takes to successfully stage and promote a world class motorsport event”.
