Loebs 30 Win.

Loeb scored his 30th WRC victory during Rally Mexico and he did it in style by driving the C4 for its first ever rally victory on gravel .

Loeb won by 55.8 seconds over Marcus Gronholm and is now second in the drivers standing, behind Gronholm who has a four point lead. After the rally of Mexico Loeb said "The car was really good. Since Monte Carlo we have been waiting for this event, the first gravel rally of the season. We had to wait for this rally to see how it performed. The car was perfect. No problems and a good feeling."

However Loeb did admit that he was expecting more competition from the other drivers in the 2007 season. "I'm sure the battle will be tighter than last year. Last year Manfred (Stohl) was third, more than four minutes behind, and this year he was sixth and three minutes behind, so they are getting closer. The new Subaru has shown it is competitive as well. I'm sure there will be battles all season between six drivers."

The WRC champion will have to face a further challenge when he competes in the Rally of Portugal on the 29th March to the 1st April.
