2010 Quaife MSA British Rallycross Championship
Motors TV will treat viewers to an Easter Monday to remember this year with four hours of LIVE British Rallycross Championship action from the opening round of the 2010 season at Lydden Hill.

After bringing live rallycross coverage back to UK screens for the first time in two decades last year, the ‘High Speed Television’ channel will continue its commitment to the discipline’s premier domestic series. As well as live coverage of the BRC’s season-opener, Motors TV is planning further live events in 2010, including the revolutionary new ‘Night Race’ event at Blyton in June and the traditional summer highlight of August Bank Holiday Monday at Lydden Hill.

“Our live coverage of the British Rallycross Championship proved to be very popular last season and we are happy to bow to popular demand by bringing more events live in 2010,” said Motors TV’s Head of Programming and Acquisitions Frederic Viger.

“As well as the two Lydden events, we hope round 3 at Blyton on 12 June will be particularly popular with our UK viewers as the races are scheduled to begin after England’s Group C World Cup match with the USA. Hopefully fans can celebrate a good start for Fabio Capello’s boys in South Africa by switching to Motors TV and enjoying some of the most entertaining motorsport action to be found anywhere in the country!”

This season’s British Rallycross Championship looks set to be one of the best ever, with the season-opener at Lydden set to mark a spectacular start to the year. Liam Doran will make his debut with the Citroen-backed Kenneth Hansen Motorsport, father Pat will be out to defend his title in his Ford Fiesta T16 and Rallycross Open champion, Andy Grant, makes the switch to the BRC in an ex-Andrew Jordan Ford Focus.

"Last year's live events brought the excitement of a Rallycross event right into the homes of Motors TV viewers and were a great success for everyone. I'm delighted that we will continue to expand this exciting new development and thrilled that our new Night Race event in June will be covered live," said Amy Doran, promoter of the Quaife MSA British Rallycross Championship.

Motors TV’s coverage will include live action of the main Supercar category as well as the SuperModified, Stock Hatch, Junior, RX150 and Suzuki Swift classes. The channel will also feature highlights of the European Rallycross Championship in 2010.

British Rallycross Championship – Round 1, Lydden Hill – starting at 1pm.

Motors TV, Europe’s only TV channel solely dedicated to motorsport, can be found on Sky Channel 413, Virgin Media 545 in the UK.
