Vincent Verschueren chooses a Symtech Racing Subaru Impreza STR09
Vincent Verschueren, who has just been crowned Belgian Historic Rally Champion, will leave behind his Opel Ascona to concentrate on modern rallying in 2010. The Belgian is aiming for the Group N national title, and he has chosen a Symtech Racing Subaru Impreza STR09 to help him achieve this objective. In 2009, the car starred in Poland where it won two rallies overall in the hands of Kajetan Kajetanowicz: Subaru Poland's factory driver.

Vincent Verschueren: "We're very pleased to have concluded a deal with Symtech Racing. The car is a real gem and it's certainly the best Group N machine that I have ever seen. We're obviously aiming for the Group N title this year but we also want to do well in the overall standings. I'm sure that this will be possible with our Subaru Impreza STR09. I'm still looking for a bit of extra budget to compete in some foreign rounds. Buying this car was possible thanks to my sponsors, ConXioN and Flanders Indoor Karting. I can't wait for my first rally to begin!"

Chris Debyser (ConXioN): "In 2010, we're going to work very closely with Flanders Indoor Karting (FIK). Alongside our activities in historics, which we should have some more news about soon, this involvement in modern rallying marks the first appearance of our new FIXION brand (an association between FIK and ConXioN) that has just been launched onto the market. Along with our partner HELI, we are creating a fresh campaign within a new structure that specialises in modern rallies, in which Vincent is our key person. Last year, Vincent already showed just what he was capable of. This year he has to underline that talent in more modern machinery, but he will benefit from the best possible equipment provided by Symtech Racing. Vincent will compete on six rounds of the Belgian Championship, co-driven by Lara Vanneste (runner-up in the Belgian Co-driver's Championship) as well as by Diederik Pattyn on two occasions."

Dirk Van der Sluys (Symtech Racing): "We're very pleased that our car is in quick and capable hands. Vincent is a real talent, and we are all convinced that his talent will come to the fore this year. The car he will use in 2010 has already proved itself to be quick and extremely competitive. We will be following him closely throughout the season and passing on as much knowledge as we can to help him."

Vincent Verschueren's first competitive outing will be at the Haspengouw Rally on 27 February 2010.
