Emosport chooses a Subaru Impreza STR09
The Emosport team has a new secret weapon for its driver Cédric Cherain. The team has acquired the Symtech Racing Group N Subaru Impreza STR09 with which Kajetan Kajetanowicz won two events on the Polish Rally Championship this year.

Patrick Emontspool (Emosport): "We already have good experience with Symtech Racing and for next year we want to take a big step forwards with Cédric Cherain. Currently he is in the thick of the fight for the Group N title on the French Rally Championship: impressive for a first season on new territory, which is very different to what we are familiar with at home in Belgium. He's getting on very well. We've not yet decided where exactly he will be competing next year but the choice of car is already made. We've gone for the Group N Subaru Impreza STR09 because of its competitiveness, reliability and build quality. Symtech Racing has more than met our expectations. Our Impreza was Subaru Poland's factory car this year and it was always perfectly maintained. We will be taking over the car this weekend on the Condroz Rally with the firm objective of claiming victory in Group N!"

Wim De Boeck (Symtech Racing): "We have built this STR09 exactly to the criteria that we set out at the beginning of the season. The car has competed on six rallies in Poland, but now it is as good as new. Before delivering it to Emosport we re-prepared it from scratch and our Impreza is now ready to continue its illustrious career in the hands of another talented driver, Cédric Cherain. From now on we will be concentrating on the production of the new Subaru Impreza STR010, with the first car expected to be complete by the end of January. We will be present on the Condroz Rally this weekend to help and advise our friends at Emosport as they fight for Group N victory. We wish them every success."

The Condroz Rally takes place in and around Huy in Belgium from November 6-8. The Emosport crew, made up of Cédric Cherain and Renaud Jamoul, will start as number 23.
