A promising return to gravel for Subaru Poland
The fifth round of the Polish Rally Championship gets underway with the Orlen Rally this weekend from 18-20 September. This is also the second gravel rally of the series, and it looks set to be hotly contested.

Belgian team Symtech Racing, which runs the Subaru Poland Rally Team Impreza STR09, is looking forward to this latest challenge. Although Subaru Poland's factory driver Kajto Kajetanowicz is not exactly a gravel specialist, he is eagerly awaiting the start of the event and feels confident. Kajetanowicz lacks experience on loose surfaces, but he was still able to improve with every kilometre on his last gravel outing: the Lotos Rally in June, where his stage times got better and better. As usual, his Subaru comes to the event with the benefit of impeccable preparation and a couple of small developments.

Kajto Kajetanowicz commented : "I'm going to have to be careful on this second gravel event of the year because I noticed that I still had some way to improve on this surface while I was competing on the Lotos Rally earlier in the season. We're continuing to work in our usual way in preparation for the Orlen Rally, with a test beforehand allowing me to get back into the groove a bit. I've got every confidence in the car, which has demonstrated a perfect record of reliability so far this year and given us the chance to make the most of every opportunity. "

Wim De Boeck from Symtech Racing added: "After the Rzeszowksi Rally at the beginning of August, we've had the time to work on our Subaru Impreza STR09 and restore it to full health. It's now just like new again and fully ready for the battle ahead. Naturally we're going to do everything we can to allow Kajto and his co-driver Jarek Baran to shine on this complex gravel rally. We're sure that they will do the best job possible over the weekend."

The Orlen Rally is based around the town of Plock, and takes in 11 stages totalling 170 kilometres. The first stage starts at 09:30 on Saturday 19 September, with the rally finishing on Sunday 20 September at 18:10.
