Hungarian escapade for Loeb and Elena
Sébastien Loeb and Daniel Elena were recently invited to discover what goes on behind the scenes at the Red Bull Air Race in Budapest. The quintuple world champions also took advantage of their trip to visit the Hungarian Citroën subsidiary.

Before flying off to Australia where they will race in the third-last round of the World Rally Championship, Sébastien Loeb and Daniel Elena took a quick trip to Budapest. The Citroën duo was on the tarmac of the Red Bull Air race in Budapest to see the pilots flying over the Danube. Their flight under the famous Széchenyl bridge 2.5 metres above the water was awesome.

Sébastien who loves to try out new experiences, was a passenger in one of the planes during a training session. “I’d like to thank Red Bull for inviting us to this very impressive event,” said Seb, his eyes glittering with enthusiasm. “It’s fantastic to see the planes flying in this majestic setting, but it’s a very different story when you’re on board. I already had a flight baptism a few months back. This time we did a lot more acrobatics. Sometimes I understood what we were doing, other times not. There were moments when I couldn’t find my bearings in space. The pilot admitted it was the same thing for him, but he knows exactly what he has to do to carry out his programme. It was a great experience, but I’m much more in my element on four wheels!”

Sébastien and Daniel also took advantage of the trip to visit the Citroën subsidiary in Hungary. They had a photo session in the old town to prepare for the Brand’s 90th anniversary, a press conference and a meeting with the Hungarian journalists.
