Now in its fourth successful year, five of the seven-round series events will follow the BRC, but the season opens in early March with the gravel Malcolm Wilson Rally, which is closely followed by the first BRC round - The Bulldog International Rally Wales. The BRC’s second round, the Pirelli International Rally is next in April, followed by the RSAC Scottish Rally in June before a return to the BRC and a change to asphalt, with two iconic events, International Rally Isle of Man in July and the Toddsleap.com Ulster International Rally in August. The series comes to a close on gravel with International Rally Yorkshire in September.

The addition of the FST will make the British Rally Championship the place to be in one-make series’, with a championship represented in each of the two wheel drive classes. The Fiestas will run in Rally 3, while existing Citroën and Suzuki series’ will run in Rally 2 and Rally 1 respectively.

British Rally Championship Manager, Mark Taylor, said, “It’s fantastic that the Kick Energy Fiesta SportTrophy now runs alongside the British Rally Championship, affording it the profile it richly deserves and giving an opportunity for its competitors to compete on some of the best rallies in the British Isles"
